This game sucks! The quests are buggy and never actually accomplish anything, everytrhing moves way to slow, and as near as I can tell the designers want you to throw your computer out a window rather than play this game. Even on sale I feel ripped off.. You know, there just comes a time when you shouldn't just release game after game after game with pretty much the same gameplay...in the same engine...it just gets tiresome after a while. What reason is there to play Demons of the Past, other than to get some conclusion to the story nobody really cares about? It's more of the same, the same spells, the same skills, the same weapons, the same races, the same units. Yes, sure, there are some additions here and there, but it's neither worth the money nor the time imho, which is why I just couldn't bring myself to even continue playing this. And the fact that you should have played SpellForce 2 plus both of the addons to get a complete picture of what has transpired is just annoying. The presentation of the story is lacking. If you haven't at least played Faith in Destiny then Demons of the Past won't even make a modicum of sense. I got all of this in one big bundle, so I'm ok with what I've spent, but I'm just too exhausted by boring gameplay and a at best mediocre story to soldier through this.. The last saga of my childhood game.. Never regretted buying the entire package to complete my childhood game.. Remembered Spellforce Shadow Wars was attached to our first Computer Package.. Gameplay is pretty much the same.. RPG and Strategy Games combined to create a wonderful game experience..
