About This Game You are a lone adventurer in a strange, non-Euclidean world. Gather as much treasure as you can before the nasty monsters get you. Explore about 50 different lands, each with its own unique treasures, enemies, and terrain obstacles. Your quest is to find the legendary treasure, the Orbs of Yendor. Collect one of them to win! Or just ignore your quest and collect smaller treasures. The twist is the unique, unusual geometry of the world: it is one of just few games which takes place on the hyperbolic plane. Witness a grid composed of hexagons and heptagons, straight lines which seem to be parallel, but then they diverge and never cross, triangles whose angles add up to less than 180 degrees, how extremely unlikely is it to reach the same place twice due to practically infinite size of the world (centillions of locations in just 700 steps from the starting point), and how the world seems to be rotated when you do return. All this matters for the gameplay. The game is inspired by the roguelike genre (although in a very minimalist way), works of M. C. Escher, and by puzzle games such as Deadly Rooms of Death.HyperRogue can be played for free from its website. The Steam version adds online achievements, online leaderboards, trading cards, and convenience. Also, as the game is constantly updated, the Steam version includes the newest features, such as new lands with new mechanics, or new game modes -- see Gallery for the current differences. 7aa9394dea Title: HyperRogueGenre: IndieDeveloper:Zeno RoguePublisher:Zeno RogueRelease Date: 16 Jan, 2015 HyperRogue Activation Code [cheat] hyperrogue gold. zeno rogue hyperrogue. hyperrogue gameplay. hyperrogue tutorial. hyperrogue blog. hyperrogue modes. hyperrogue ios. hyperrogue discussion. hyperrogue git. hyperrogue steam. hyperrogue github. hyperrogue free. hyperrogue youtube. hyperrogue game. astats hyperrogue. hyperrogue save. apt hyperrogue. hyperrogue orbs. hyperrogue apk. hyperrogue pure tactics. steam hyperrogue guide. hyperrogue app store. hyperrogue download. hyperrogue reddit This game is mind altering.. This is a procedurally generated (hence Rogue) game where instead of a traditional dungeon, you have a headache inducing non-euclidean tile set which scrolls around undeneath you, supported by a camera angle which at first seems tolerable but very quickly makes your stomach start churning, which could be of great assistance to anyone thinking of taking up bulemia as a hobby.Unlike what you might expect in a rogue/hack style RPG, there RPG elements are downplayed, at least early on, in favour of just mucking around with the geometry generation engine and allowing the player to explore and run around a bit. Different game modes are present which is a nice addition. One thing I noticed about the game is that I had it installed for a long time without playing it and the developer updates it regularly, which is really a positive note. Also, while most indy devs are happy to stamp out a 2D pixel platformer, or an RPG Maker asset flip, the developer here is a genuine game developer rather than an opportunistic barista, and does push the boundaries.Unfortunately, combining the fairly low quality graphics, gameplay that, while novel, isn't fun at all, and issues with fullscreen/scaling, the result is a game which is certainly different, but also, not very enjoyable, so it's just too hard for me to try recommend this to other gamers. If I had more than just the choice between thumbs up and thumbs down, I would prefer to put this game in the middle just to salute the developer for trying to be different.. Love the non-Euclidean geometry of the world. Makes for an interesting and unique experience.. This game has an amazing game mechanics and also really interesting range of render engines. Highly recommend to try it if you want to try something new and interesting.Check also other games from developer, all of them are bring something new to the world!. There is no other game like HyperRogue - that explores hyperbolic geometry so intuitively, and requires you to take advantage of its unique properties to both survive and complete the game. A fun, puzzly roguelike that will introduce you to a world you had no idea existed, that gains more variety with every update.. Brilliant game! I mean the concept behind the game is simple enough, that of hyperbolic planes, but what the devs have done with that is quite extraordinary. There are several worlds within the game, each with its own rules, it's kinda fun to contemplate how each world works.. Worst game to play with a headache.Worst game to play without a headache im sure as it will give you a headache.Worst game to write a review for it's a Concept thats hard to explain with but simple to understand..Best game as im trying to think in new ways.Best game as im wondering how this would work in 3dBest game as it's so simple but so complex and often times the best thing to do is run away but which direction effects the WHOLE game as the WORLD ITSELF feels likes it's based on you.Think if you can see EVERYSINGLE ENEMY in the game as once but they slowly merge together in a congaline to kill you.youll never see face-to-face with one only face 30degree to face 30degree with em.Bewarned there are moments like in Chess where your Checked. Be sure to read the info like how the living caves work and how the ivy grows it helps alot.TLDR: Free version on their website but worth buying at reduced or full price.. One of the best games I've played in years. The best part is that it isn't just a gimmick. A lot of games about abstract ideas are lacking beyond the initial point, often devolving into some silly high concept plot, often pretentious. But not HyperRogue! this game implements hyperbolic geometry in a way that's both intuitive and interesting! You don't need to understand the equations behind it, the game explains itself. And the plot is as minimal as it should be, it's all about the gameplay. Not to mention, there's a ton of content.
